REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said the REIQ was committed to assisting the Association in their ambition to raise professional standards in PNG.

“The REIQ has proud history of delivering industry-leading training programs in PNG in collaboration with the Real Estate Industry Association,” Ms Mercorella said.

“It’s great to see our partnership flourishing again after a necessary hiatus due to pandemic disruptions and I thank Mike Quinn, President of the Real Estate Industry Association, who has been instrumental in progressing the training delivery.

“We’re excited to reengage and contribute to developing local expertise and elevating professional standards in the region.

“Our introductory program is designed to provide attendees with practical training and skills to apply to property management, helping to establish a professional framework and enhance service delivery in PNG.

“Last month, Le-Anne Allan – a leading Bundaberg real estate agent, REIQ Sales Chapter Member, REIQ Fellow and REIQ Trainer – travelled to PNG to deliver the training for some of the Association’s members.

“The students hailed from a wide range of PNG regions and included representatives from banking, finance, valuers, facilities managers, law firms, ports corporations, real estate agencies, property management and resort management.

“We hope this marks the start of many successful training deliveries, with Le-Anne already scheduled to return in April 2025.”
